Coatings are used to protect the pipeline owner’s assets on and off-shore. Pipeline owners can outsource pipeline design and coating specification to consultants. These coatings are manufactured by specialist companies and applied to the internal and external surfaces of the pipes by applicators in accordance with the specification.
